JNJ Industries' GlobalTech^®  EVAPO-RUST ™  WIPES have been proven effective to remove light surface and flash rust on all types of mild steel and iron. It is safe on all surfaces and will not harm copper, brass, aluminum, plastic, rubber or vinyl. EVAPO-RUST is non-toxic, non-corrosive, biodegradable and contains no acids or alkalis. It is also non-flammable and contains no petroleum solvents.

These unique wipes work against rust in two distinct ways; first, as a rust remover through wiping, rubbing, and/or wrapping; secondly, as a rust inhibitor, by leaving a protective coating on a clean area to prevent additional rust from forming for up to 4-6 weeks depending on heat and humidity. EVAPO-RUST LIQUID is extremely effective in the removal of deep rust. Left over carbon residue can be removed with JNJ's Carbon Cleaner.

EVAPO-RUST is highly recommended by the NRA gun-smithing  school and is utilized by the FBI, CIA, NATO and other law enforcement and forensics agencies. EVAPO-RUST is perfect for removing weapon finishes such as Bluing, Parkerizing, Zinc Phosphate and Browning.  Bluing  and zinc phosphate coatings (heavy zinc per MIL-DTL-16232 and light zinc per TT-C-490) can be removed both at room temperature (@30 minutes) and 118 degrees Fahrenheit (@15 minutes).  Anodizing, powder coating chrome, nickel, paint, and most other coatings will not be removed as long as they do not contain oxides.  EVAPO-RUST will not harm lead or solder points.

JNJ Industries' GlobalTech^® Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) with DI water (30%) is a non-aggressive universal cleaner and disinfectant.  IPA-DI  is a colorless liquid that evaporates very quickly and has a mild odor.  It is also known as 2-propanol and isopropanol. Chemistry is the same as the JNJ Electronic Grade Wipe but uses a stronger industrial grade wiping material.
