JNJ Industries' GlobalTech® Heavy Duty Degreaser Certified as Clean Air Solvent by SCAQMD 

Franklin, Massachusetts, USA - JNJ Industries' GlobalTech® Heavy Duty Degreaser (HDD) has been certified by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) as a Clean Air Solvent, meeting their stringent requirements of 25 grams per liter or less of VOC. The certification is in effect for 5 years, until August, 2015. In order to be qualified as a Clean Air Solvent (CAS), the solvent can have a VOC concentration of not more than 25 grams of VOC per liter of material, as applied; meet other criteria, and contain no Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs), Ozone-Depleting Compounds (ODCs), or Global Warming Compounds (GWCs).

GlobalTech® Heavy Duty Degreaser (HDD) is an aqueous cleaner that is more than 90% water-based, with 100% active ingredients. It has been specially formulated to remove all types of grease, oil, grime, and dirt from all types of surfaces including machinery, engines, farm equipment, trucks, buses, trains, tools, work benches, floors, walls, kitchens. GlobalTech® HDD is available in concentrate form, pre-mixed with water and ready to use, or in handy, pre-saturated disposable wipes for quick clean-up of machinery and parts, workbench tops, and many other surfaces.

GlobalTech® Heavy Duty Degreaser utilizes a proprietary “electro-chemistry” technology to clean that works by reversing the normal polarity of the contaminant. The reversal of the polarity causes the like charges of the contaminant and the work surface to repel each other, thereby preventing re-attachment to the surface, enabling them to be rinsed or wiped away with ease. HDD has a unique ability to penetrate crevices and orifices to dislodge microscopic contaminants. This method of cleaning dramatically improves the cleaning efficiency by minimizing the amount of rinse water needed. Because HDD leaves no ionic contamination behind, it is an excellent cleaner to be used when cleaning electric or electronic equipment and hardware.
